The Lucky Bastard Game

WHAT IS IT?

In short, it works similar to the Tapology Survivor game in the sense that it continues every week until there's a winner (or in some cases in this game no winner) but instead of picking your fighters, get assigned a random fighter from the upcoming UFC card and hope they win. 


FORMAT:

1) To enter, simply say that you want to enter at the start of a new game. The length of the games depend entirely on how long it takes to either find a winner or eliminate everyone.

2) Then, you will randomly be assigned a fighter from the upcoming UFC card. This will be decided by me using this site I found wheeldecide.com and putting all the fighters names on a wheel and going through the list of players one by one and spinning the wheel to decide which fighter they get. I'll make a very low quality video of the draw and post it here to show I'm not deliberately messing with anyone in particular. It might mean that some people end up with the same fighter but that doesn't affect the game as it's more of an everybody fighting for themselves kinda game rather than a head to head game.

3) If your randomly assigned fighter wins their fight then you're through to the next round. If their fight get cancelled or postponed then I'll count it as a loss as it would be considered unlucky. Draws and no contests will also count as losses for the same reason. This happens every week until there is only one left and they will be the winner. In a unique twist to make the game as stupid as possible, if everyone eventually goes out, then nobody wins the game and the game will be marked in the record books as "nobody ******* won" or something like that. For example, if there are 2 or 3 people left and they all have losing fighters then nobody wins the game. I feel this also adds weight to the game as you have to be REALLY lucky to be a winner as you literally have to be luckier than every other competitor to be the only one left standing!


WHAT DOES THE WINNER GET?

A place on the list of winners that will be displayed on the opening post of every new game and their current AV put on the new game poster (see below) in the middle of the horseshow so they effectively become the poster boy/girl/other for the new game!

Any questions, just ask! And remember, please don't take this game too seriously! I mean, it's practically a satire of the Survivor Game when you think about it lol!

I did. I was ready to make the poster as soon as that fight ended last night at about 2:30am where I am but decided to leave it until now, about 17 hours later to see if he was gonna change it but he didn't. 17 hours is plenty of time to change an AV, especially seeing that he was active in this thread last night. Besides, the sperm Pride poster is still an awesome AV anyway!

@FantasyBot has pulled one back to prevent me from possibly going undefeated in the game but tbh it's just a consolation for him at this stage anyway as I've already won with 1 event left to go.

Haha I actually did change my av but Greg deleted it.

It was the furrys av picture with a pile of **** on his head. You will all have to settle for the pridefc poster of sperm instead.  

I have now won the Tapology wagering league and the lucky bastard game. Just need the survivor game win for the Trifecta!!!

I'll be making the first video for this new game tonight. I usually try to avoid doing it before the weigh ins but I'm busy tomorrow evening and am working all day Saturday so it can't be helped I'm afraid. So anyway, anyone who wants to take part but hasn't joined already has about 14 hours to do so!

1. I saw Maria Oliveira appearing on what looked like a game show or something just weeks ago, so maybe her mind isn't all focused on the fight, so i'm fine with Diana.

2. You keep doing you. seriously, watching a twenty minute video of yours can feel like five. you want to give your opinions and insight on these fights, I for one don't mind.

All right, let's go! New game, 20 players, 14 fighters, and best of all, we have action on all 11 fights.

First up Nuggetheel and Wasteland both hope tap users don't know their **** because while the fight is almost a pick 'em, they both have slight underdog Belbita (-105 to -115 for Oliveira) while the tap picks favor Oliveira 69% to 31%

Next up Rigno is just hoping for some excitement as he has the debuting Steve Erceg vs. wet blanket Dvorak.

On to the ESPN prelims we start off with the Lucky Bastard main event as 3 of us (CaptnKbec, TARTARA, and myself) have Blake Bilder vs. Schatte who has Kyle Nelson. While this looks like an easy win on paper, I don't trust the wheel or hometown judging for the Canuck.

Next is Ubermacht with Aoriqileng vs. Zahabi, Hmm, another Canadian underdog who's also a Helwani lookalike.

Then Cheeseball gets underdog Jasudavicius against Miranda Maverick. 

Prelim headliner finds Schwerindustrie with Imavov going against PiggyBank with Chris Curtis in what I think is the most interesting FOTN.

We start off the PPV with CangrejoRuiz and ccollins44 both having Barriault against Anders 

Then Stephen undersells his chances with Dan Ige vs. Nate the Train. I think this is more like 80/20 than 50/50 Stephen.

In the middle PPV fight Bellatrix and Xconchris both have Fugitt vs. Malott. 

Co-main has Ayy and kushycake with Dariush taking on BoomShakaLaka and Do Bronx

And finally Kkkomboo gets the main event to himself as he gets Nunes. 

So at least 3 will be eliminated and at least 3 will make it through to next week. Good luck everybody.
