I'm inclined to agree but I still think this fight will be important for his legacy. Many believe the odds are stacked against him with Islam's wrestle heavy style and pseudo-home court advantage. Most of the professional MMA "experts" (if you can call them that) and Vegas are backing Islam. But I strongly believe Oliveira passes this test.

yes he handled them impressively, but the fact stands that he's never done the same kinda thing to an elite 155er. I'm sorry, but if you're jumping all the way from Bobby Green to Charles Oliveira, there's just no way I'm backing you

To me the fact that he was ever a -400 favorite is bonkers and proof that they are backing him. -150 to + 150 makes more sense IMO.

he was -400 before oliveira fought gaethje

just shows me stupid recency bias.

people werent confident in him then but now they are?

he just let gaethje punch himself out. also gaethje has a dumb style which cannot compare to islam

he shouldnt have been 4-1 dog against islam before gaethje fight. he showed it in the poirier fight why
